My name is Cédric Marchant. I live in Kerkdriel and I am a Brabander through and through. I am an entrepreneur in the infrastructure sector, married to Daphne and the proud father of a son. My company works throughout the Netherlands on technical infrastructure in and around roads, from masts and gantries to traffic systems. It is work that millions of people drive past every day without realising how much technology lies behind it.
Everything with wheels and engines
My love of everything with wheels and engines started at an early age. As a child, I drove machines around my father's company. The sound of an engine starting and the power of something being set in motion: that feeling has never left me. From mopeds and quads, I eventually found my way to cars. Speed, engineering and experience have always been a common thread.
Do not wait until later
For a long time, work came first and hobbies fell by the wayside, until I realised how precious time is. Life is not only about running a business. A StreetGasm Ride Out was my first introduction to the community. The combination of driving, experience and like-minded people stayed with me.
My involvement grew further when I became a partner in 2024. Funnily enough, it started when my first car application was rejected. That led to personal contact, a good rapport with the organisation and ultimately a partnership built on trust and enthusiasm.
The greatest moment of my life
The crowning moment came during DreamDrive Transylvania. Surrounded by the StreetGasm community in the mountains of Romania, I asked my pregnant partner Daphne to marry me. I had prepared the moment with the organisation. Music, visuals, champagne and even a film crew made it complete.
Her reaction was completely genuine and emotional; she was taken entirely by surprise. I felt pure happiness and pride that I could give her such a unique moment. It will forever be connected to StreetGasm.
No pretence or status games, just down-to-earth, successful people who have stayed true to themselves.

For me, StreetGasm is not only about cars, but above all about people. It is about the friendships formed during long drives, conversations along the way and shared experiences. It is an environment where passion, entrepreneurship and life's defining moments come together.
My outlook on life is simple: you have fewer years to live fully and consciously than you might think. That is precisely why you have to make memories, seize the moment and not wait until later. New destinations and memories await, but Transylvania will always be the place where love, adventure and community came together.
