In response to requests from the club, we organised another Driving Academy this year. The day is designed to teach you how to handle your supercar. With so much power at your disposal, certain weather conditions can occasionally lead to challenging situations. That is why StreetGasm offers you the opportunity to spend a full day getting to know your car inside and out under the guidance of qualified instructors.

Perfect conditions for mastering true driving skills

With 22 cars from our StreetGasm Family, the day revolved around control, skill and adrenaline. For these training sessions, the track is routinely soaked with water so drivers can safely practise oversteer, recover from a skid and master their car's power. StreetGasm events usually enjoy beautiful weather, but this time it rained—and the timing could not have been better. This kind of training challenges you to discover what your car can do and how to manage it. Rain immediately adds another level of difficulty and creates the most realistic conditions you might encounter in everyday traffic.

Learning to master the power

Supercars possess immense power, and in the rain it is essential to keep that power firmly under control. After all, a rain shower can appear unexpectedly at any time in the Netherlands, and our tours abroad can occasionally bring treacherous conditions too. StreetGasm events generally enjoy beautiful weather, but there are never any guarantees, so knowing exactly what to do is vital. Guided step by step by our instructors, participants discovered how their cars respond in these conditions.

Alongside driving on the wet surface and completing the various exercises, our members also had the opportunity to drive on the banked circuit. With a gradient of up to 60%, this track is a unique experience in its own right. The driving sessions were interspersed with a delicious lunch and, of course, the warm company of the StreetGasm Family. A highly successful day we look back on with great pleasure!
