Driving Academy: Drift Day

Following the success of previous editions, StreetGasm hosted another exclusive Driving Academy Drift Day on 8 March 2026. This intensive training day centred on one clear objective: sharpening driving skills and learning to master a supercar in challenging conditions.

With the immense power of modern sports cars, control can never be taken for granted. When grip diminishes, on a wet surface for example, technique and experience make all the difference. That is why participants had the opportunity to explore every aspect of their cars under the guidance of professional instructors.

Drifting and vehicle control on a wet surface

The Driving Academy took place on a specially prepared circuit where the asphalt was kept continuously wet. This created realistic conditions in which participants could safely practise drifting, correcting oversteer and controlled slides. All with minimal tyre wear, of course!

The programme increased in difficulty throughout the day. The first sessions focused on fundamental control and recognising the onset of lost grip. Participants then progressed to more complex exercises centred on complete drift lines and total vehicle control.

This progressive approach allowed both less experienced and advanced drivers to take their skills to the next level.

More control, more confidence behind the wheel

A drift day is not only about spectacle; above all, it is about safety and control. In an unexpected situation on a public road, the crucial difference is whether a driver instinctively responds in the right way. During the Driving Academy, participants learned how their cars respond to a loss of grip and how to turn that response into control and stability.

With personal guidance from experienced instructors, participants continually refined their technique, posture and precision. The result was greater confidence behind the wheel and better command of the car, whatever the conditions.

The complete StreetGasm experience

Beyond the driving, there was plenty of time to unwind and share experiences with the StreetGasm Family. Between sessions, participants enjoyed an extensive lunch and discussed their performances on the circuit.
